This activity was designed for English for Speakers of Other Languages. For my students, it is their second or third language. This particular class are Japanese adults used to feeling confused in the language and have some critical thinking skills before using a hint.
If you feel you can use it for your students, please do. I appreciate any feedback. I tried to work out as many problems with the flow of the game but I know I could have missed some.
I allow devices in my lesson to research content and for my students to look up words in their own language. I also allow my adult students to communicate in Japanese with each other. I encourage communication and if there is a mix in English with Japanese, then it feels more realistic for people learning languages.
